The Canton of Jura, famous for its watchmaking and precision engineering industries, has in recent years successfully added the expanding field of medical technology (“medtech”) to its repertoire. This shift addresses the increasing global demand for high-tech medical devices, but it also comes with its own hurdles. Although the Jura already boasts the highest density of medtech suppliers in Switzerland, making it an ideal location for activities in this area, a platform is needed to take medtech community’s evolution to the next level.
The Medtech Congress, now in its third year, will take place this October in Courroux. Bridging the region’s precision manufacturing heritage with its future as a global medtech hub, it fosters collaboration and innovation. Hosted by the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area – Jura and organized by the Day One accelerator, the event unites medtech stakeholders and leaders from across the region.
The innovation park’s cutting-edge infrastructure and vibrant community create the perfect environment for medtech innovation. Companies here enjoy modern workspaces and valuable networking, gaining the resources and connections they need for success.
With the dynamic Medtech Congress and the cutting-edge Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area – Jura, Courroux is the place to be for medtech innovation. Add to this the world-class hubs in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and digital health found within the region, and it’s clear why so many entrepreneurs and companies are looking to base themselves here.
